Designed to Keep-On-Smoking™ for up to 12* hours, the Smokai Classic makes cold smoking a breeze and can supply a controllable volume of quality, fresh wood smoke when hot smoking (a separate heat source is required when hot smoking).
The variable speed air pump gives you control of the smoke volume ensuring you don’t over smoke your food which is often the case with other smoking systems.
Fresh wood is gravity fed to the burn with ash settling on the base, ready to quickly empty after your smoke.

Quick to Mount with the Smokai-Modular-System™
Like all other Smokai Smoke Generators, the Classic is a mount based system. What this means is that the mount has been built into the product. You don’t need anything else, other than to drill a 25mm (1 inch) hole into the side of your chosen chamber (for the smoke tube outlet) and attach the Smoke Generator with just two small bolts that are suppled.

In addition, a small range of Quick-Mount™ adaptors are available to mount your Smokai Classic to the rotisserie bracket of your hooded BBQ/Grill, your Family Q™ or medium-large Kamado Grill. These setups provide you with the benefits that you would expect from a dedicated hot smoker, including;
- Control of the temperature.
- Control of the smoke volume.
- Creating a consistent, uniform burn.
- Creating sufficient airflow around the food.
Once you've mounted it to your preferred Smoking chamber, you can start smoking. It's really easy.

Great experience, I did something unconventional, built a 2 foot deep, 4 foot high and 4 foot wide smoke box inside my walk-in cooler, mounted the Smokai outside and piped inside the box, and piped the exhaust back outside, I had to extend the tube to reach the box, found a piece of copper pipe that was a snug fit over the pipe coming out of the Smoki. I smoked about 40 pounds of bacon today using apple pellets, worked great
This is a great product, easy to use and install. Have tried wings, ribs and tandoori so far and the smokiness it infuses is fantastic. Looking forward to building up to a brisket in the coming weeks
I use a bullet style smoker and always had trouble with the balance of heat and smoke. I cut a hole in the side of the bullet just below the top rim of the water pan for the Smokai tube. With the Smokai making consistent smoke, I could monitor and work the coals to keep the correct temp through the cook period. The adjustable forced air system is key to a consistent chip/pellet burn and smoke creation. On the first run, I did three racks of pork ribs and a pork shoulder. Very happy with the results. Next going to put a mount on the gas grill.
Works as advertised. Very easy to light, provides great amount of smoke for a long time using hardwood pellets. Way more efficient than using smoking tubes. Check with the manufacturer if it works with the rotisserie attachment on your grill. Did not work with my Napoleon grill but I was able to improvise and make it work. Not the cheapest out there but definitely WORTH EVERY PENNY. Will definitely recommend it!!!
I double-smoked some rainbow trout. First I cold smoked them for 30 minutes then lit one burner on the propane grill on low and continued smoking for an hour until the fish was done. Worked like a charm!
I put the 1 liter classic on my pellet grill. Since then I smoked chicken and cold smoked cheese. Works great, very happy.
So far the Smokai worked great. I smoked a prime tri-tip roast for a couple of hours and used pecan chips. I could have continued for a couple more hours but it was time to eat!
Absolutely love this smoker. Perfect size for my small 4 bar BBQ. So far I have cold smoked cheese, and some mackerel. Both were fantastic but I might be a bit biased! Hot smoked some pork ribs and again perfect. Going to be well used.
