Just calling it a smoker wouldn’t do it justice.

Designed to Keep-On-Smoking™ for up to 12* hours, the Smokai Classic makes cold smoking a breeze and can supply a controllable volume of quality, fresh wood smoke when hot smoking (a separate heat source is required when hot smoking).

The variable speed air pump gives you control of the smoke volume ensuring you don’t over smoke your food which is often the case with other smoking systems.

Fresh wood is gravity fed to the burn with ash settling on the base, ready to quickly empty after your smoke.

* Smoking time is dependent on the wood fuel type (chip, pellets), variety (hickory, maple, etc), pump speed and the ambient atmosphere. 

Your smoke generator is designed to be mounted onto the side of a suitable smoking chamber in which your food is smoked.

Hot Smoking, Cold Smoking or Both

That’s how versatile our smoke generators are. Before deciding on a suitable smoking chamber, think about how much food you’re going to be smoking and whether your smoke generator will be used for cold smoking only, applying a quality smoke when hot smoking, or both.

Quick to Mount with the Smokai-Modular-System™

Like all other Smokai Smoke Generators, the Classic is a mount based system. What this means is that the mount has been built into the product. You don’t need anything else, other than to drill a 25mm (1 inch) hole into the side of your chosen chamber (for the smoke tube outlet) and attach the Smoke Generator with just two small bolts that are suppled.

The Smokai-Modular-System™ also makes assembly, disassembly, ash disposal and cleaning super quick and easy. The precision engineered, heavy duty modular components lock together firmly in seconds.

Quick to Attach / Detach

In addition, a small range of Quick-Mount™ adaptors are available to mount your Smokai Classic to the rotisserie bracket of your hooded BBQ/Grill, your Family Q™ or medium-large Kamado Grill. These setups provide you with the benefits that you would expect from a dedicated hot smoker, including;

  • Control of the temperature.
  • Control of the smoke volume.
  • Creating a consistent, uniform burn.
  • Creating sufficient airflow around the food.

Once you’ve mounted it to your preferred Smoking chamber, you can start smoking.  It’s really easy.

STEP 1  Fill the hopper with you preferred woodchip or hardwood pellets.

STEP 2  Turn on the Pump to high speed and light with a match

STEP 3  Crack open a beer and watch in amazement for a few minutes - there will be a lot of smoke!

STEP 4  Adjust to your preferred smoke volume

  • Hopper Capacity 1 Litre / 1 Quart
  • Holds approximately 300gr / 2/3lb / 10.5oz woodchip
  • Up to 12* hours continuous smoking on one load (dependent on wood type, pump speed and ambient air)
  • 1 Kg (2.2 lb) of Woodchip will provide approximately 12 hours of smoking time (on a low pump setting)
