Smokai Oak wood is not to be confused with "NZ Oak" which is in fact the New Zealand native, Tawa. 

Oak is one of the best all-rounders that produces a heavy smoke flavour which is not overpowering. As well as a great flavour, smoked products develop a wonderful rich brown colour. Oak is the most common wood around the world used for smoking.
